How to use iBlueText for Pipedrive

Text your deals and contacts by blue iMessage, SMS or WhatsApp, right from Pipedrive.

1. Install and connect

  1. Install iBlueText from the Pipedrive Marketplace (or use this install link) and approve the permissions.
  2. You land on ibluetext.com. Create a free account (free trial texts, no card) or sign in, then click Connect.
  3. Back in Pipedrive, open any deal or person. The iBlueText texts panel is in the right-hand sidebar. If it still says Connect, reload the page.

2. Text from a deal or person

The panel texts the phone number on the person (for a deal, the deal's contact person; for an organization, its people). If there's more than one number, pick it at the top of the panel. Include the country code for numbers outside the US.

Type in the box and click Send. "iMessage, else SMS" sends a blue iMessage to iPhones and SMS to everyone else. You can also pick iMessage only, SMS only, or WhatsApp (once you've connected WhatsApp in iBlueText).

3. Notes in the timeline

Every text you send from Pipedrive is saved as a note on the person (and the deal, if you sent it from a deal). Every reply is saved as a note on the person with that phone number, so your whole conversation shows up in Pipedrive's timeline and search.

4. Stage texts

  1. Go to Tools and apps › Installed apps, click iBlueText and open the Settings tab.
  2. Each stage of each pipeline has a box. Type the text to send when a deal moves into that stage, pick the channel, keep On ticked and click Save.
  3. You can use {first_name}, {name}, {deal_title} and {stage}. Leave a box empty to send nothing for that stage.

The Pipedrive app is free. Texts go out from your iBlueText account, so you pay iBlueText for the line, not Pipedrive.
