How to use iBlueText Texting for monday.com

Text the contacts on your boards by blue iMessage, SMS or WhatsApp, right from monday.com.

1. Install and connect

1. Install iBlueText Texting from the monday.com marketplace (or use this install link).
2. Open any item, click + next to the item's tabs, and add the iBlueText texts view.
3. Click Connect your iBlueText account. Create a free account (10 free texts, no card) or sign in, then click Connect. The view refreshes by itself.

2. Add a Phone column

The app texts the number in the item's Phone column. Include the country code for numbers outside the US. If a board has more than one Phone column, pick the one you want at the top of the view.

3. Text from an item

Type in the box at the bottom and click Send. iPhones get a blue iMessage, everyone else gets an SMS. If you have WhatsApp connected, choose WhatsApp in the menu next to Send. Replies show up in the same view, in your iBlueText inbox and in the iBlueText phone app.

4. Automations

• Send iMessage or SMS and Send WhatsApp: add them after any trigger, for example "When status changes to Booked". They text the item's Phone column, or the number you put in the Phone field.
• Personalize the message with square brackets: [Item name], [First name], or any column's title, like [Status] or [Date]. They're filled in from the item when the text is sent.
• When a text reply is received: starts an automation whenever a contact texts you back. It gives you the phone number, the message and the channel, so you can create an item or notify a teammate.

Plans: hosted or self-hosted

Open Upgrade in the view (or the app's page in monday.com) to change plans. Billing is through monday.com.

Good to know

• Anyone who replies STOP is never texted again.
• Viewers (view-only board access) can read texts but not send them.
• If you uninstall the app, we erase the monday.com account data we keep within 10 days. Your iBlueText account and messages stay yours.
